In this inflationary and hot economy, its more important than ever that families save money and invest in their future growth as a community. The prices of everything is designed to eat away at savings. The good news is that if you are a saver like back in the 1980’s, it’s possible to get more money on the annual yield as the interest rates continue to rise. We need more black savers not just consumers in America. If we save more than our tithe ten percent to help fund our own online schools or online businesses to hire our own, well in 10 years time we will have more real estate on the internet than we currently have.

YouTube is great, Amazon is great, passive income is great, but if the money is not being put into work in the right places in the community then its a moot point. Wealth is not defined by material things but by how much of an impact you have by giving among your peers and community. Black people we have always done more with less money and less resources. It is important that we teach the younger generations that it is OK to experience delayed gratification. You can both spend and save conservatively if you stick to a plan barring major emergencies that we all have in life.

We have all went out to that fine dining place that was not all that for the price. We have all paid too much money for that vacation that honestly we did not enjoy but for the photos with friends on Instagram. We need to get back to saving not just our money but our time too. Our time is money and is valuable. Let work smarter not harder and do not appeal to our emotions or impulses so easily. Let the other majority show off their boats, RV’s, big trucks, etc.. We do not know how they got that stuff and nobody has gotten “rich” without help from someone.

Black savings is gold, let conserve and work together humbly to learn and grow from each other in a natural and honest way. In the end, all we have is each other in this world. The more we can save, the more we can rebuild our households and communities without other assistance. You would be surprised at how much 10 bucks a week turns into 1K, 10K, 100K in time. This is not a perfect solution, but it does help like gold to have in case of a rainy day in life.
